The Garden Route Air Show is being held at the George Airport on Saturday 25th April 2020. The first of its kind since 1995 and set to be the biggest event held in The Garden Route this year.
The Garden Route Air Show is being held to generate funding for the assistance of fire fighting in the Southern Cape. The SANTAM report on the Knysna Fires highlighted the fact that those fires cost the Insurance industry in South Africa in excess of 2 Billion Rand. The belief is that there is still a major threat to lives and livelihood of the average citizen as well as to the sustainability of business in the region. The George fires, just one year after Knysna, showed us just how vulnerable we are, and the common perception is that it will happen again. Also highlighted in the SANTAM report was the lack of training and equipment, it is our goal to start addressing these needs through the supply of equipment and providing accredited training to volunteer organisations throughout the area.

Our Youth Development Programme which is being held on Friday 24th April 2020, forms as integral component of the Garden Route Airshow.
We will be bringing learners from numerous schools in the previously disadvantaged communities; many of them would have never had the opportunity to interact with aviation.
Our aim is not only to introduce learners to aviation, but to highlight and educate learners on fire safety and prevention.
